Hello Mr Kann. my name is Jeff Kann. I am the brother of Sue Haas who has given you some info on our line of Kanns. i want to send you a picture of the stone I carved and set at Mays Cemetery. (with Jim May`s permission). i moved gmk`s stone to be close to Barbara and put this new one between them. Since in the late 40s or 50`s, Mr. May said the stones were all removed to clean out briars and then moved back to a close proximity. He was unaware that she was his wife. i sent him your website since he was interested in the Kann history. He told me that his relatives lived on the farm across the Admire road around 1800. November 18, 2008 Marjorie M. Fogelsanger, 70 DEC. 14, 1937-NOV. 16, 2008 CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Marjorie M. Fogelsanger, 70, of 7 Acorn Circle, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at her home. Born Dec. 14, 1937, in Southampton Township, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Edwin A. and Marie Riggs Kann. She was a graduate of Shippensburg (Pa.) High School, she attended the former Shippensburg State Teacher's College and received a degree in education from James Madison University. She was employed as a reading specialist with Chambersburg Area School District, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Chambersburg Church of the Brethren, where she served in many Christian education capacities. She sang with the church choir, was a member of the bell choir and was active with the Searchers Sunday school class. She had served on the Southern District Board of the Church of the Brethren. She was awarded the title of Pennsylvania State Peach Queen in 1955. She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Donald H. Fogelsanger, whom she married Aug. 17, 1957; three daughters, Debra J. Shilling and Cheryl A. Egan, both of Chambersburg, and Kimberly K. Crowley of Trappe, Md.; one sister, Barbara Beard of Chambersburg; two brothers, Carroll Kann of Hartford, Conn., and Dale Kann of Indianapolis; and six grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chambersburg Church of the Brethren. The Revs. Harold E. Yeager and Darlene Stouffer will officiate. Friends are invited to a fellowship meal in the church's Brethren Life Center after the service. There will be a family viewing, and private burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren Emergency Fund, 260 S. Fourth St., Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to Lutheran Home Care and Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg
